Building of the Third Baptist Church, 30 Strafford, Rd. Strafford, N.H. It is open every Thursday morning from 8am-10am. The exceptions are: if the Strafford school is closed due to a snow storm the pantry is closed, if the Strafford school has a two hour delay the pantry has a two hour delay and Thanksgiving week, when holiday baskets are given out, usually Monday or Tuesday. It is open to Strafford residents who meet the USDA income eligibility requirements. The Community Kitchen was established in March 2009 to create a community fellowship where anyone can chat over a nice home-cooked meal with a neighbor. Currently there are five very talented teams that prepare and serve delicious meals every Wednesday evening from 5pm to 6:30 pm. There is no charge for the dinners and everyone is welcome. Volunteers are available to deliver meals to shut-ins, as well. Approx. average meals per month: 167. Food items are donated from USDA and the local Hannaford Market and some private donations, for which the coordinator is eternally grateful.
